The story behind every stroke
I'm Jessica, the hand, eye, and steady nerve behind Caps & Wells. I specialise in traditional and digital calligraphy, as well as freehand engraving on glass, metal, plastic and ceramics. It's a rare combination, which means your invitations, gifts, and keepsakes can carry the same hand from envelope to engraved bottle.
It started with a proposal. In 2016, my husband asked me to marry him, and I decided our wedding stationery, and our marriage certificate, deserved better than a printed font. I taught myself the nibs, the inks, and the patience. By the time we said our vows, I'd fallen for the craft entirely.
Since then, I've lettered wedding envelopes, engraved milestone gifts, personalised whisky bottles and dainty perfumes, and worked alongside local jewellers to add a handmade touch to occasions that matter. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, made slowly and on purpose.
