FAQs

Why are there no set prices?

This is a tricky one.  We know it's nice to have an understanding of what something might cost to know whether you pursue something further, however as all items are custom made and all have varying degrees of complexity, it is hard to put a single price up as being indicative of a service type. You can download our Pricing List from the Contact Us page, which will help give you an indication, however the final quoted price may vary.

We are very responsive to messages and would be happy to give a quick obligation free quote.  Please email info@capsandwells.com  and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Where are you located - do you deliver?

We are located in Griffith, in regional NSW (not Sydney, not Brisbane, not ACT ... you didn't think there were that many Griffiths did you!). Certain smaller items can be posted at the client's expense (just let us know you need postage and we can give a shipping estimate), however larger items such as acrylic welcome signs cannot.  A small delivery fee is required for delivery within the town limits.

You are more than welcome to have your item shipped straight to us when purchasing online to save on postage, we will retain all packing materials where possible and return via post/courier of your choice (at your expense).

I feel like the prices are a tad expensive - why is that?

Please keep in mind that the prices for the services we provide also need to include the time spent liaising with the client, sourcing materials, drafting, proofing and revising, cost of materials, labour time, postage and materials, not to mention the years of practice it has taken to become proficient in our craft. We will try to include more 'making of' videos on our social pages so you can get a better understanding of the time and effort that goes into the making of these special items.

Why not use a laser engraver?

Yes, a laser engraver would probably be quicker.  But then the end result would also look mass produced and we are passionate about providing personalised items with a more sentimental feel.  We believe this can only be achieved by doing something by hand.  So yes, there may be minor imperfections, you will see stroke marks, but you will also have something that no one else in the world has - it is completely unique to you and was created with love and intent.

Why do I have to pay a bond?

As a small, home based business, should a hired item be damaged, we would be without that item (and therefore unable to provide our services to other clients) until a replacement arrived, resulting in a loss of income. The bond amount is refunded in full, immediately, on the safe return of an item.  You may take your refund as a cash payment or bank transfer.

If you have any questions please ask!  We value honesty and open communication and we are happy to explain and answer any questions you may have.
